politics everywhere!!

In our daily lives, we encounter the political games in almost all areas of life. Everywhere people seek their own benefits even while they show they are doing it for others. Be it any public or private department, there is a constant push and pull for power and financial gains, which results in mutual disharmony and dirty tactics which go against the health of the organization they are working for. We are so self possessed with our momentary pleasures of letting someone down, that we actually forget our sole aim of being there. Life is much beyond these filthy games.
Most of the times, we try to misuse resources at our disposal in such places, especially in public departments, and use them to any extent for our personal gains. How far is this behaviour correct? Those resources are meant for a specific purpose and they are provided even if they are scarce. But we, misillusioned by our greed for the free resources, ignore their utility and add to the corruption in our society, even though we blame the politicians for that. What right do we have to criticise others if we also commit the same faults? They seem to us looking for money and doing scams of crores. But what is the guarranty that someone among us, having the same opportunities, will not do anything of that sort, for the sake of the nation. Why are we not that proud of our nation's integrity and culture that we can think above these material pleasures? When our leaders took such difficult pains and bore every torture on them just for the sake of truth, why cant we take little bit of that to avoid something which has eaten the roots of our morals, which were ones the pride of our country. Our pains are much less than those suffered by our ancestors. Without these morals too, we are not living an easy life. People are most of the times facing depression and all sort of ailments. We are not much happy. If we take a bit of pain for the right cause, then what is the big deal about it? At least we will have a self satisfaction that we did something right.According to me, the old people genrally did not face all this depression even amidst poverty and tough living conditions because their souls were pure. They wanted a contented life with all the rightful things they have.
Even among relationships, people seek those ones where they have a ritual or a chance of earning money. At times people dont want to meet each other because everytime they have to give expensive gifts. Else, they have to bear some implicit taunts. Why cant these things come from a genuine wish to cheer up someone. Why it becomes an obligation and eventually a burden? These are some nuances given just to portray the real state of family politics. We dont cherish our relationships because of these instances where we feel there is no love and just money or power playing their role in our homes as to who can dominate whom.
Now the onus lies on us as to how we come out of this vicious cycle and develop harmony among each other on the basis of our good intentions. Most of us love the moments we spend in the marriages together, since we all are social by nature and we love spending time together. But the small incidents of this nature actually make it complicated and spoil our fun. Why cant we actually try to make these relationships sustainable and happier than usual by making them feel special and go beyond the rituals like who is above whom and who is entitled to getting money or a gift. All this is useless without an intention of seeking others benefit.
Thats what I think about all these complexities around me.

pragya my best frnd for yrs has finally vent her heart against the system ....that too in a beautiful way. she has also written some beautiful lines on friends also . inever knew the kid inside her also has a matured poet; so i wud also like to add a few stanzas:
Three passions have governed my life:
The longings for love, the search for knowledge,
And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind].

Love brings ecstasy and relieves loneliness.
In the union of love I have seen
In a mystic miniature the prefiguring vision
Of the heavens that saints and poets have imagined.

With equal passion I have sought knowledge.
I have wished to understand the hearts of [people].
I have wished to know why the stars shine.

Love and knowledge led upwards to the heavens,
But always pity brought me back to earth;
Cries of pain reverberated in my heart
Of children in famine, of victims tortured
And of old people left helpless.
I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot,
And I too suffer.

This is the life and I find it worth living
