Sachin: The ultimate star

Its long time since I wanted to blog on a person, who has really influenced my life. Today, I pay tribute to him.

I have been a toddler since I started watching Cricket and Sachin playing (1992 world Cup). Since then, he is my favorite cricketer. But now, He is much more than that. He is my role model, inspiration and greatest mentor. I pay attention to his behavior on and off the field, the way he manages his personal, social life and cricketing career. Moreover, whenever I do something good and I get an applause, I start thinking about how Sachin manages to remain modest on such great adulation, comparison with God and all the things that shower upon him. How does he maintain that equanimity with matching courage, whenever he is loaded with a nation's expectation?

Every time he is conferred an award, he says that he enjoys his performance, but apart from that, he is the only one to add appreciation for every single player, who showed good performance beside him. This is rare. Every time, he is criticized for low performance, he shows the same composure and says that it is fair to criticize and he would live up to the responsibility, follows up with another onslaught. His young hearted spirits, when he is able to get a difficult catch, or wicket, is a delight to the eye. It shows his dedication to the game.

When everyone was thinking he has turn Old, he is not just burdening himself on the team. He has reinvented his game to the current needs. To improve his stamina, he was well prepared. He has swetted alone for three hours to increase his duration on the pitch. This is dedication!!! This makes him the best batsman of the World. He is not able to give up. He keeps trying every bit to get the game back. He learns from his mistake. His consistency is not just luck butdue to his persistent attitude and desire to change when it is needed. Challenging Status Quo is not easy for anyone, more so for a person, who has played for twenty years. But Sachin has done that.

However, the truth is, Sachin lays much more expectation from himself than anyone can ever place upon him. He wants to win a World Cup for India and was close to doing so in 2003. This time, I pray to God that he is able to do so, else it would be ill fitting response to his matchless dedication to the cause of Cricket. He is a man of absolute determination and big dreams. He has finally cracked a double century, which was unthinkable for most of us. I just wish that he is able to finish his cricketing career with Grace and his lovely smile, which is as pure and exciting as him. I salute him for his elegant, modest and unrelenting career. Hail Sachin!!!!

Balanced Success

Success--------is something for which everyone in today's world is craving for and working harder and harder to achieve. In our expedition to success however we often start ignoring or depriortizing our happiness and personal responsibilities .Professional growth can be productive only if it involves personal growth and satisfaction.People in todays world are running to get thier business run better and better OR Employee of a company trying hard to get promotion by hook or by crook...They do get too but still remain unhappy and morounfull towards life...Achievement is not a true acheivement , if along with upraisals and appreciations a guilt feeling is involved...........Its not only money ......position........or fame , which can act as a key to the door of happiness.....Remember..........ultimate goal of life is not success ...........its happiness........(your's and your loved once.).For instance ..........if you are adirector in a company earning in crores per year but you find no time for your family then the crores of money has no value.....Its a bad deal with less or no ROI..........You are loosing in the race........To put it in better form what balanced success is I will take an example of a game played in nursery class.......You remember we use to have a race wherein we had to put a spoon in our mouth with a marble piece kept on it......The person who reached the destination first with the marble peice on the spoon came first.........Here you are the racer , race is your life's expedition ,and marble is the friends and family...........
" There is no point in winning the Race if you cannot protect the marble."
